Scotcheroos? Chocolate peanut butter rice krispie bars? No matter what you call them, this version is so nostalgic in the best way, but much healthier made with honey and packed with extra peanut butter. That, plus hemp seeds, brings our protein count to a whopping 10 grams per bar! Now that's a dessert a nutrition coach can get behind (that's me - I'm the coach).

What you need

cup peanut butter

tbsp butter

cup rice krispies

cup hemp hearts

cup milk chocolate chips
Instructions
0 In a large saucepan, melt the [wprm-ingredient text="3 tbsp butter" uid="2"] and [wprm-ingredient text="1/3 cup honey" uid="0"] on low heat until they're fully melted and combined, about 3-4 minutes. 1 Next, stir in [wprm-ingredient text="1 cup peanut butter" uid="1"] with the melted honey until fully combined and without chunks. 2 Next, gently stir in the [wprm-ingredient text="3 cups rice krispies" uid="3"] and [wprm-ingredient text="1/4 cup hemp hearts" uid="4"] into the peanut butter mixture. Then, press into a 9x9 inch glass dish. 3 Melt the [wprm-ingredient text="3/4 cup milk chocolate chips" uid="6"] and [wprm-ingredient text="1/3 cup peanut butter" uid="7"] together. This can be done in a saucepan on low heat. Otherwise, you can melt it in the microwave by cooking in 20 second increments and stirring in between rounds until the chocolate is melted. 4 Spread the chocolate peanut butter mixture on top of the rice krispies and put in the freezer to cool for at least 20 minutes. Then, enjoy!View original recipe
