What you need

cup milk

tbsp olive oil

yellow onion

tbsp granulated garlic

lb ground bison
egg

tbsp worcestershire sauce

tsp pepper
tsp salt
cup ketchup
tbsp maple syrup

tbsp yellow mustard
tbsp chipotle chili peppers in adobo
Instructions
0 Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Line a bread pan with foil or parchment paper, leaving enough that you can grab it from above the pan side walls after baking. 1 Mix the [wprm-ingredient text="1/3 cup rolled oats" uid="3"], [wprm-ingredient text="1/3 cup milk" uid="4"], [wprm-ingredient text="3/4 tsp salt" uid="9"], and [wprm-ingredient text="1/4 tsp pepper" uid="8"]. Let this soak while you move onto the next step. 2 Heat [wprm-ingredient text="1 tbsp olive oil" uid="6"] on a skillet over medium heat. Add the [wprm-ingredient text="1/3 yellow onion" uid="1"] and [wprm-ingredient text="1.5 tbsp minced garlic" uid="5"] and saute until golden brown. 3 Add all the meatloaf ingredients ([wprm-ingredient text="1 pound ground bison" uid="0"], [wprm-ingredient text="1 egg" uid="2"], [wprm-ingredient text="1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce" uid="7"], the sauteed veggies, and the oat milk mixture) to a large bowl and mix with your hands gently until just combined. DO NOT OVER MIX or it will be tough and gummy. 7 Add the meatloaf mixture to the foil-lined bread pan, making sure it's spread evenly throughout the pan. Bake for 25 minutes. 4 While the meatloaf bakes, mix the [wprm-ingredient text="1/2 cup ketchup" uid="12"], [wprm-ingredient text="1/2 tbsp pure maple syrup" uid="13"], [wprm-ingredient text="1 tbsp yellow mustard" uid="14"], and [wprm-ingredient text="1/2 tbsp chipotle peppers in adobo" uid="15"] in a small bowl. 5 Remove the meatloaf from the oven and spread the glaze on the top evenly. Return to the oven and broil on high for 5 minutes. 6 Remove from the oven and leave it to rest for 10 minutes before removing and slicing.View original recipe
